Planning a multi-stop trip

Updated Aug 30, 20263 min read

Most trips are one place, and you don't need to do anything special for those. But when a trip covers more than one place โ€” a city then a cruise, a road trip with a camping stretch, a beach week with a few days at altitude โ€” you can add an itinerary so the weather and the AI Strategist follow each stop.

Add a stop

1
In New Trip or Edit Trip, find the Itinerary section and tap + Add a stop.
2
For each stop (called a leg), pick a kind โ€” ๐Ÿ™ staying somewhere, ๐Ÿšข at sea, ๐Ÿ• camping / off-grid, or ๐Ÿ” altitude โ€” then enter the place and how many nights you're there.
3
Reorder legs with the โ†‘ / โ†“ arrows, or remove one with ร—.
Why the kind matters
"At sea" isn't a city โ€” there's no weather station, and a cruise implies different gear (open-deck wind, motion sickness, a formal night). Setting the kind is how PackLash tells a cruise apart from a road trip.

The nights count

Below the legs you'll see a running total: โœ“ 7 of 7 nights assigned in green when the legs add up to the trip length, or an amber 5 of 7 nights assigned โ€” adjust a leg or the trip length when they don't. It's just a nudge โ€” you can still save with a mismatch.

What changes on a multi-stop trip

The trip overview shows a compact itinerary line (๐Ÿ™ Faro ยท 3n โ†’ ๐Ÿšข Western Med ยท 5n), the weather card groups by leg with each stop's own forecast, and the AI packing strategy is written per leg โ€” with each suggested item tagged for the leg it's for.

Good to know
Your packing list stays one list โ€” items aren't split by leg. If you want a self-contained bag for one stretch (a cruise bag, a camping bag), save it as a saved bag instead.
Heads up
At-sea legs don't show a forecast โ€” there's no station out there. And a single-destination trip should leave the itinerary empty; adding one stop for a one-place trip just adds clutter.
