If you've already got a packing list somewhere else โ a spreadsheet from a past trip, a list a friend sent you โ you don't need to retype it. Import it as a CSV and PackLash will turn each row into an item.
What your file needs
Each row is one item, in this fixed column order: bag, item, type, qty, shareable. A header row is optional. Only bag and item matter โ leave the others blank and they'll fall back to sensible defaults.
Good to know
Leave type blank and the item lands in Misc โ re-tag it in a couple of taps afterward. Leave bag blank and the item is added with no bag assigned. shareable accepts yes/no and defaults to no (private to you).
Import your file
1Open the trip's packing list and stay in โ Edit items mode.
2Tap โค Import CSV in the toolbar, then Choose file.
3Review the preview โ item count and a sample of names.
4Tap Import items to add them to your list.
Heads up
Import always adds new items โ it doesn't check for duplicates against what's already on the list. If you're re-importing an updated file, clear out the old items first or you'll end up with two of everything.
Every imported item starts as Need, no matter what's in the file โ there's no way to import an item already marked Have or Packed.
