Don't have a hair dryer, or forgot the sunscreen? The Ask the group row on your packing list lets you ask for something without adding it to your own list.
Posting a request
1Open the trip's packing list, in ✎ Edit items mode.
2Scroll down to the "Ask the group to bring something…" row, type what you need (for example, "a hair dryer"), and tap Ask.
3It shows up as open for every traveler on the trip to see.
Good to know
Requests are separate from your packing list — posting one doesn't add a Need/Have/Packed item for you. It's just a heads-up to the group.
When someone covers it
Any other traveler can tap ⚡ I've got this to claim a request. That adds a real, shareable item to their own list — so they remember to actually bring it — and automatically marks you as the person it covers. The request then shows as fulfilled for everyone.
Heads up
You can Withdraw your own request any time before someone fulfills it. Once it's fulfilled, it's tied to the item on their list — reach out to them directly if plans change.
