Packlash helps you build, tune, and share travel packing lists. We collect the minimum needed to build your lists, tailor AI suggestions to your trip, and let you pack as a group. We do not sell your personal information.
This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed). You can optionally add an age range and gender, which help tailor packing suggestions.
Trip data — destinations, travel dates, trip types, activities, your bags, and the items on your lists, including each item's packed / have / need status.
Group and sharing data — when you invite people or join a shared trip with a code, we store who is on the trip and which items are marked as shared.
Usage and device data — basic logs such as actions taken, approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser or device type, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
To tune your list to real conditions, Packlash sends your destination and travel dates to a weather provider to fetch the forecast for those dates.
Our AI Packing Strategist uses your trip details — destination, dates, trip type, activities, travelers, and the forecast — to generate suggestions and reminders. Your data is not used to train third-party AI models.
When you share a list or someone joins with a trip code, the people on that trip can see the shared items, the traveler list, and packing progress. Items you keep personal stay visible only to you.
Public templates you choose to share are visible to anyone with the link until you delete them or turn sharing off.
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Packlash — for example hosting, weather data, email delivery, and the AI provider that powers suggestions — under agreements that limit how they may use it.
We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service. We do not sell your personal information.
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your light or dark appearance setting, and let the app keep working offline. We do not use advertising trackers.
We keep your account and trip data while your account is active. You can delete individual trips and lists at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal or security obligations.
You can view and edit your profile, appearance, and trips in the app, and delete trips, lists, or your entire account at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
Passwords are stored hashed, data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Packlash is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
