Archiving or deleting a trip

Updated Aug 30, 20262 min read

When a trip is over β€” or was never really happening β€” you can either archive it (tuck it away, keep everything) or delete it (remove it for good).

Archive vs. delete

Archiving hides a trip from your main list without touching the packing list, travelers, or history β€” you can bring it back any time. Deleting permanently removes the trip and its packing list for everyone on it, and can't be undone. If you're not sure, archive.

Where to find it

1
On your trips list, tap the β‹― button on a trip card for πŸ“₯ Archive trip, ⧉ Duplicate, or πŸ—‘ Delete trip….
2
Or open Edit Trip and scroll to the Delete this trip box at the bottom.
3
Deleting opens a confirm dialog β€” type the trip's name exactly to unlock the Delete trip button. That dialog also has an Archive shortcut if you change your mind.

Archived trips collect in a Archived trips section below your active ones. Open it to Unarchive or Delete from there.

Good to know
Only the trip organizer can archive or delete a trip. Other travelers can leave a trip from its overview page, but the trip itself stays for everyone else.
Heads up
Deleting is permanent and group-wide β€” it takes the packing list and history with it for every traveler. Archive is the reversible choice.
